July 26, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – The New Cities continue to burn up the airwaves with their new single “Heatwave” and they are bringing even more heat with the announcement of their new album, Kill The Lights. This is the second album for the Montreal-based sextet and is set for release September 27 2011. Produced by former Metro Station keyboardist/writer Blake Healy, the album features original tracks by the band and impressive co-writes by the likes of The Matrix and Rob Wells among others.
July 26, 2011 also marks the video debut for the single “Heatwave,” which was released on June 20. The sizzling video premieres tonight on Musique Plus and MuchMusic and was directed by John (JP) Poliquin. The video will also be streaming on Vevo and youtube as of 8:00pm ET.
In addition to all this big album release news, this summer sees The New Cities partnering with Crush for a national contest called Crush Fest. Crush Fest is an exclusive entertainment mini-festival featuring a private concert and meet and greet with band plus great experiences and prizes from Crush.
